I have read articles where some StateHSAA consider the face paint to be intimidating and unsportsmanlike and therefore illegal. Fortunately, neither the OhioHSAA nor the MichiganHSAA has not come to the misbegotten conclusion.

Furthermore, if a team is intimidated by its opponent's facepaint then its HC has bigger problems.
