Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am getting ready to start my first year of teaching at a high school. One of my classes (which miraculously, was already in place) is a Sports Officiating class. I would like to look at as many sports as possible in order to expose my students to a wide variety of opportunities. If you could, please contact me about ANY TRAINING MATERIALS WHATSOEVER that you might have which you would be willing to share with me. This includes electronic documents, paper documents (which I would gladly pay for you to have sent to me), and anything else that you might be willing to share. Thank you so much for your help in this matter. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience at [email protected]. I would be glad to supply you with other mailing information as needed. |

sleebo,
Get an NFHS rules book, a USSF rule book, a pamphlet entitled "The Rules of Soccer Simplified", and a booklet entitled "Teaching Offsides". These would be a good start. RR

The NFHS rules books for ALL high school sports in the U.S. are available for purchase from http://www.nfhs.org
The Laws of the Game, and other supplementary booklets, which govern competitive club soccer play both in the US and around the world can be obtained from the US Soccer Federation at http://www.ussoccer.com For NFHS soccer there is only one Rules book. For USSF soccer you will want: 1. FIFA Laws of the Game 2. Advice to Referees on the Laws of the Game 3. Laws of the Game Made Easy 4. Guide to Procedures for Referees, Assistant Referees and Fourth Officials Best wishes |
