When I was playing ball (in the 80s), you would NEVER be allowed to do this.
Not sure why you can now. But thats why I came here to ask.

Years ago, when I played high school and small time college basketball...if you had the ball and slipped and fell to the court, it was a traveling violation.
Now, if you fall down, you can slide...

You grab the ball from your opponent and on your way out of bounds (in the air) you signal for a time out.
Why is this allowed?
Shouldnt you have to have CONTROL...
