I'm looking forward to eevans comments.

I think a clamp and drag by a goalie to try to get back to the crease to then get possession is withholding, I think this would be the same as a face off. If a middie clamps and there is no movement to gain possession it's withholding.

Then again, I'm with Tom G. who lets a goalie make it back?
