Hi Pat,

I'd recommend actually finding a USA Hockey referee seminar. Let them know exactly what you are doing and inform them that you would just like to learn to officiate a form of hockey so that you can use the knowledge and apply it to a floor hockey league. If they aren't receptive, they aren't doing what they should to increase the visibility and interest in hockey as a sport overall.

In addition, you should be able to purchase Official's Manuals directly from USA Hockey. They're free to registered officials, but only one copy. ;o) I'd recommend using USA Hockey rules rather than NCAA rules, unless you can get a copy of the NFHS rules.

Let me know how things go for you. What part of the country are you located?
