length of uniform pants
Wanted to get opinions from other officials regarding how long your uniform pants should be. I am a baseball, football, and basketball official. I have asked the question dozens of times and have received just as many responses. "How long should your uniform pants be?"
I personally wear my hemline just touching the front of my shoe. Granted, this leaves the pant line just barely below my ankles. And yes, it does look at times as though I'm wearing pants that are too short. Other officials prefer their hemline to the sole of their heel... which does cause crinking at the front. But they prefer this over the "highwater" look. If appearance is important, is there a preferred standard from seasoned veterans on how long their pants should be? I do not think there is one right answer but instead personal preferences. Please chime in. |

Baseball pants should be longer than regular dress pants, because when you spread your legs to balance your weight they'll ride up and look like Urkle (not a bad umpire, but his timing's a little fast...).
