The porn posting has got to stop! The pictures are getting more and more graphic. We are at the point where there should be an age restriction of 18 or older to access the forum part of this site. If something isn't done to stop the disgusting pictures and links, the FBI has every right to shut this site down indefinately.

Larks made a good suggestion for how to stop spam. Another suggestion: if we keep banning these spammers, will they not run out of email addresses to activate a new account?

I think at the very least we should appoint a few trusted members of the forum to delete any spam material. What is to lose by doing this?

And how do we verify this? Won't the spammer's (spam bots) just learn to click on the "I'm over 18" button / birthdate buttons?

Reference please? My guess is that most spammers operate overseas -- may we should ban all non-US addresses?

OK guys, no one hates the porn stuff more than me. But Bob is right. It's obvious from the titles which things are porn sites and which aren't. So ... don't open them. I know, I know curiosity is a big thing... and we all are tempted... but if you don't open them you won't be disgusted by the filth and vulgarity. I'm sure the moderators are as sick of it as we are so let's get behind them with good ideas on how to stop this stuff and give them our best support. Lets all act like fellow officials and support them rather than acting like howler monkeys and blaming them.

I feel a bit thick now, but what is that for?

Tags add context to threads and adds another method users can search for relevant threads.

For example, you might add a few tags to a great thread about game management so it will show up in more searches. The tags would look like "game management", "angry coaches", "technical fouls", "ejections" etc. Any time another use does a tag search on any of those terms, that thread will display.

I've also just realized that if you click on the tag at the bottom of the thread, it will bring up all threads that have that same tag.

I also noticed that with the upgrade, the "related threads" display at the bottom of a thread is gone.
