In a state quarter final game this past Friday night, I saw the following on a couple tries. White 42 would line up behind one of the down D linemen. He tried to time the snap and hurdle the linemen to block the kick. He got very high, but the linemen were all engaged in blocking very low. Technically this could be hurdling, but the linemen he hurdled were very low to the ground, if not on it. I guess if you watched film you might see if the one he went over was technically on his feet. I did not flag it, and would not do so. Curiously, my HL asked me about it the first time he saw it. HL thought he might be getting a boost from a teammate, but that was not the case. Then I had spectators behind the end line make comments about hurdling too. Even though white 42 could jump high, he never got close to the kick.
