Yes. Read the rule book more thoroughly. My book is from 1999, but DEAD BALL and END of DOWN, 4.2.2.g reads: Following a valid or invalid fair catch signal is given by any member of the receiving team when a scrimmage kick is caught or recovered by any member of the receiving team beyond, in or behind the neutral zone. The foul doesn't cause the ball to be blown dead, any signal does. The numbers may have changed, but I'm sure the rule is still in effect. Bob
