Thumbs up

I am interested in becoming a college football official. I am starting my second varsity H.S. season. What are the requirements? Thanks!

Around here (NYS) you need at least 35 varsity games, two written recommendations from current college officials, an interview and a ton of free time for all the extra meetings, scrimmages, travel to and from games more remote than you would normally travel to for a HS game. An idea which position you want to work in college would help as well, figuring that you're not going to start at the R, most likely a downfield spot or a wing.

ABoselli, I am a back judge on my crew (N.J.). We had 17 varsity games including state playoffs last year. Hopefully maybe 2-3 years I can pursue this. Thanks!
