I think that is how it is "supposed" to be done. In reality, it is as you say.

That's what I've heard, but I haven't heard what the change is likely to be. Any idea what the possible change is supposed to be?

Good ol boys here. No evaluation of any type. Last year in one of the finals the WH was a friend of the state guy who assigns for the final. On that crew was a 2nd yr official! One of the teams would like to have an obvious PI called that wasn't made by that official. Pretty sad situation.

Ohio has a combinationof coach/AD input, Local association (based on number of members), the OHSAA and some good ole boys thrown in for good measure.
