Fed equipment rule help

I am looking for a little help on the rules regarding cleats/shoes for Fed ball.
I am not a football guy but I am trying to help out a family who has a son that is starting to play.
The coach has told these kids a few strange things and I want to help this family avoid buying some shoes that the kid may not be able to actually use.

Any help or if possible a quote from the rule book as to shoes and cleats would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to the rules, see pages 19 and 20 for specific rules on cleats.

If you have a specific question on the rule after reading this, ask away.

Thanks for the input, the coach had told the players that solid metal cleats, as used in baseball, were allowable.
Not Fed baseball mind you, but as in pro ball.

Not a good coach and as usual a coach that really really thinks he knows the rules.

Metal BB cleats would be a definite no-no.
Most any molded cleat is acceptable. Most youth leagues don't allow the steel tipped nylon cleats but you really don't see those anymore anyway.

I am more than a little out of date with Fed baseball, having stopped calling it in 2003.
Thanks for the update
