Question for the Fed guys:
how often, if ever, do you see a player try to take advantage of the rule by--WHOOPS!--fumbling forward late in the game on 4th down? (also, is Ken Stabler on the NFHS rules committee or something?) |

chymechowder, I am not knocking you for your question at all, it's a very legitimate question. It's just a personal peeve of mine when someone's argument comes down to something like a rule being unfair because a player can do something illegal to circumvent the rule. Like Rut said, they ain't that smart, especially in the middle of a play. |

I think you mean "legal". Anyway, the rule book was composed of a series of answers to such situations, so I don't understand the peeve.
