Actually, he was the Line Judge.

As we all know from our mechanics, the umpire NEVER signals a touchdown.

The real NFL officials can't thank this guy enough! HE is the reason the NFL settled. I spoke with an NFL guy, who is the secretary of the NFL Officials Association. He said when he saw the play, he told his wife, "Hey honey, we're working this week." They even changed their offer that they were going to put on the table the Tuesday after the game. Later in the season, this guy was on a crew working in Seattle and during a long time out they huddled around the 20 yd line. He said, "Let's huddle in the corner of the end zone where the play happened We made a lot of money of money there."

ESPN was going to rip the first close call no matter which way it went. I've never seen a so-called news organization so in the tank for one side over another. If ESPN said grass was green and the sky is blue, I wouldn't believe it.
