Al Michaels

During last night's (Aug. 28) game, Al Michaels (who should know better) stated that Gene Upshaw was the FIRST guard elected the the NFL Hall of Fame. A BIG OOPS to Mr. M. The Chicago Bears had two guards elected well before Upshaw; Danny Fortmann and George Musso.

And that's not even considering members of other teams.

It's bad enough when the 'Talking Heads' in the booths screw-up on the rules, but to make erroneous statements when it's so easy to look things up in a record book is ridiculous.

What's it got to do with officiating? Who cares about announcers? They screw up all the time.

Ocho is Spanish for EIGHT (8). Rather ironic, since a 'Section Eight' discharge in the military is for mental problems.
