Best Study Guide

I am going to purchase some study material this weekend at a clinic and wanted to know what is better (for HS). My choices are the the simplified and illustrated book with the rules by topic book or the Reddings study guide.

Thanks for the help.

Reddings for sure!!!!! http://honigs.com/browse_products.asp?Cat=2&Sub=33

The new simplified is nice, but is more for the very basics. Reddings is the complete package!

The Simplified and Illustrated book does have some value but I believe that is limited value.

The Rules By Topic book does not expand or further explain anything. It just groups all relevant rules and case book plays together to shorten the time it takes to look up all of the information relevant to the play.

I have never seen it but the Reddings guide appears to do much more than just restate the rules.

My state has quit ordering the Simplified and Illustrated for us and now sends us the Rules By Topic book every year. That is an improvement for us as I see it.

Study Guide

The Redding Guide is the best thing out there. I get one every year. It's really the only supplemental material that you need.

The Redding Guide is serious information for officials. Rules by Topic is more for the fans but does have some value relating rules. Smplified and Illustrated is the Rule Book with pictures.

Of the the Redding Guide is the most useful for officials.
