Making the mini jump to college
I have been fortunate enough to be put on a college crew here in Iowa. It just Division III for now but it is a start.
Assuming the NCAA rule book is best (duh ) but what other books or resources should i explore to make myself the best prepared for the upcoming season?? Any websites to visit or any other useful information sources. Still working a full high school schedule as well so it will be a long but fun fall i hope.

The photo in the link is of the 2007 book but they are selling the 2008 book which is the one to get anyway. "The Redding Study Guide to NCAA Rules" Can also order right from the publisher: http://www.doublesdistributors.com/order.htm |

REPLY: BoBo...after you read Rule 3 in the NCAA rule book and read the ARs associated with it, you might want to make the mini-jump back to HS ball. I guess one good thing is that the NCAA timing rules, with the obvious exception of the 25/40 play clock, are actually becoming closer to the Federation rules then they once were.

Mad City
I feel I am more than ready to go to the next level. I have passed on hte opportunity in the past for family reasons. I am working my 15th year of high school this year as well. I have worn the white for more than half of those and have worked numerous playoff games in the state. I jsut wanted to make sure i have everything covered when i step onto the field for the the first season. Was just asking for any advice so i may be the best official i can be. Hard work and studying is part of that. Thanks for the luck and i will keep you up to date.
