Bama-FSU

I was watching the Bama-FSU game yesterday and noticed the wings working on the field....I'm talking standing on the numbers with 2nd and 7....what the hell is that? It seemed like when the ball went far hash, the wing would stand on numbers...the dance around, move back and forth...following progress...it looked awful.

These players are the cream of the crop with blazing speed...why be on the field??? If their supervisor says so....what is the justification?

Aaah, we see you have finally noticed how the SEC does things. This is an old issue as to why the SEC does things differently than all the other conferences. Most all other conferences have their officials working mechanics more similar to NFL mechanics. The SEC uses mechanics more similar to high school mechanics where there are few officials and thus they need to be closer to the play. We all hope to see these mechanics go away soon as they are painful to watch.
