but there also is a rule stating
"No two players of the same team shall participate in the same down
wearing identical numbers (A.R. 1-4-2-II) [S23]."


I don't recall any editiorial to the contrary.

If memory serves JJ is from England? They may have a league-unique rule on the unis. And I can see how in a situation like that they might have trouble keeping things straight on the UC issue. Over here, it has never been a problem for me as when I flag some player for UC I clearly know who he is and will know when he gets his second.
