There should have been a flag.

It speaks volumes about integrity when an official oversteps their authority as in this case. I don't want to be pushed and if you do expect an ejection and a write-up and maybe even a call from the local police department.

Therefore, I should not push unless absolutely necessary and in this case it did not look necessary.

A few seasons ago I did a junior high game where security was lacking. On a long run down the sideline a parent stepped out on the field to see the run right in front of me with no choice but to run over the guy. I got the worst of it because a player who had been blocked took out my legs and it was head over heels.

Since then anytime a player, coach, parents, etc. steps on the field there is a flag. If it is a parent I hope they parked their car so they can see the field because they will be tossed.

Shouldn't be an official

It was humorous,in a sad way, but the guy obviously shouldn't be an official. To go up and down the line hitting people is inappropriate. Also it appears from a physical status, he is incapable of keeping up with the play and being in position. It think its time for a retirement celebration party. JMO

Very few wing officials in a 5-man or less crew can outrun a running back who's broken one north-to-south. If only those that could do this were allowed to officiate, we'd have quite a few empty fields.

There was a kickoff return in the NFL for a TD in the Dallas/Seattle game on Sunday and by the time the returner crossed the goal line, the closest official was 25-30 yards away. They should all quit too, huh?

Also, maybe the guy in the video would keep up better if all those idiots would stay out of his way.
