As in any walk of life, there are those who do not take pride in their appearance. It's unfortunate that they are many not as exuberant about the avocation or simply don't see the need. It really falls on the crew cheif to set the standard and the rest of the crew to conform and pressure those who are lax in this or any other area.
What are you supposed to do? You can either do what's right or fall into the same trap that others have. It's up to you.
