PSK fouls

My crew had its first PSK foul all season (a hold while the ball was in the air).

I remember when this was a huge deal upon implementation. Any crews have a LOT of this type of foul?

No, but I feel a lot better in having the defense retain the ball rather than to give it back to the offense. Call it my NCAA mentality if you like.

Agreed. It makes perfect sense that it's enforced this way, but the NFHS made such a huge deal out of it when they made the change.

Of course, some officials need the "beat over the head with a hammer treatment."

I think we've had one all year. It is a natural enforcement and I am glad that in some instances Fed and NCAA are getting closer.

Yeah, it's just one less of the 222 categories of differences one working both codes has to think about.

We have had one all year (block in the back, while the kick was in the air). While the rule change has not been a big deal in terms of number of PSK fouls, it is better, as mentioned, not to have K/A keep the ball after getting the 10 yards from the previous spot.

I don't do college anymore. I have a desire to have coaches and fans have a clue as to what is in effect on Friday. At the rate we are going, this may indeed come to pass by the end of this century.
