REPLY: For Fed, just to follow-up on BktBallRef's response, a scrimmage kick will end when: (a) any player possess it, or (b) when it becomes dead by rule. This latter condition would be satisfied by the kick crossing the plane of B's goal line, going OOB, being touched by A beyond the neutral zone after coming to rest, when it comes to rest with no player attempting to secure possession, or by a dreaded inadvertent whistle
