Changing Numbers Depending on Position

Is there any rule in the rulebook that prevents a player from changing jersey numbers during a game depending on if he is lining up as an offensive lineman, or lining up as an end/back on offense?

I can't find anything that prevents this, but it just seems illegal in my mind.
