well it is that time again to start complaining about the tests and how they are written. here in georgia, the ghsa writes its own mechanics and part II tests, so we always have tons of misinterpretations. i think we should take this opportunity to revamp the whole test. i think it should be more than just true or false. most of the current test to not solely test rule knowlege and application, but whether you can read trick questions. i love the tests i take for hockey. while they are challenging, they stick more to rules and applicaitons. they are not only true and false, but multiple choice, which is a breath of fresh air.

Speaking of the test, anyone got a copy of the Part I key? I'd like to check my answers.

I like the questions you find in Referee Magazine and the NFHS Preseason guide. The questions have usually 3-6 possible answers and you pick the correct one(s). These questions make you work a little, in my opinion and are written so there's little guess work in what they really want to ask. I doubt the Fed will ever go this way but who knows.

if the fed does not go away, then maybe individual states. our state (ga) now writes its own mechanics and part II tests
