Why do you have a fumble? Where did anyone say the ball hit the ground?

I guess my assumption that if the center snaps the ball, but the QB is not there, that we would have a fumble is making an *** out of me. Don't assume, right!?

Yep! I've had coaches tell me about trick plays such as this where the ball would be snapped to a running back.

My mistake on this one. This question was on the 2001 test and not on the 2004 test. The question was exactly the same wording in 2001 as this year. It was True then and I had 7-2-3 as my rules reference then.

There has been a section in the NF test called Illegal Position since 2000. I still wonder how they can test us on a term which is not defined or even included anywhere in the rules book but they don't seem to have any problem with it.
