I know that, but obviously he does not. I was not on his sideline, so I did not have the "pleasure" of talking with him, but I was talking with the HL at the half and I said that he doesn't recognize the difference between incidental and accidental.

PSU,
I wasn't implying that you didn't know the rule. I was pointing out that most coaches don't. The thing that burns me is that we have to take all these tests and the coaches don't. At least in Georgia they don't.

After an illegal formation call (which, in retrospect, we probably really did screw up), coach is screaming that he wants a coaches conference. He's told that he can't do that on a judgement call, but if he wants to take a timeout, we'd be glad to discuss with him.

"I don't want a timeout. I want a coaches conference."

WH says, "Fine --- there are your coaches (pointing) - go have a conference."

WH was not his favorite official for the next 2 hours.

Your WH must be a baseball umpire.

Semi-Final game
Nov '03
4th QTR
1:10 left in the game
Score: 14-12

Player in motion turns upfield before snap. LJ drops his flag at the snap, and wouldn't you just know that player caught the apparent winning TD.

When we called the TD back, the player started charging toward the Umpire, that's me, with unfriendly intentions. Luckly for me one of his teammates grabbed him about 10 yards before he caught me.

As he was being carried off, screaming, cursing, and calling me everything but a human being, I flagged him for UC. Then one of his team mates started the same thing. My second flag.

Then the HC started, the REF threw his flag, then his second flag. The REF called me over and asked if I had another flag. No, but the HL does.

65 yards later...

And our dressing room was right across the hall from the losing team.

Well then assitant coaches should wear numbers so I can remember which one I flagged.
Nah, one assistant is as good as another. At the level of assistant coaches.... who cares! Too Funny

I did not think that you were. No offense was taken. I mostly just wanted to point out what we said to each other.
