Hi there. I work for a publishing company doing some preliminary research for a book on NFL veterans. Specifically, we are looking for guys who have been in the league for around 10 years but haven't gotten much playing time -- guys who for years have put in a lot of grueling work during the week but don't get the glory or the paychecks of more familiar players. One question I have is: Do these guys even exist or would they not be kept around if aren't useful on Sundays?
Secondly: Are there guys that get roughed up in practises year after year but don't actually dress out or make the official rosters? I'm not a football expert, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jesse Bull |

First off, you won't find what you're looking for here. Second off theres no such thing who don't "get the the paychecks" in the NFL. Thirdly, there are such players, players who say on pratice rosters, players who are 3rd string quarterbacks and see very little time. I'm not sure how you'd beable to get in contact with anyone like this but this certainly is not the place.
Good luck. |
