Did anyone see how Peter Morelli handled the cluster at the goalline during the 2nd quarter of the Saints/Texans game today? A first-year NFL referee, he handled the situation like a veteran, very Markbreit-ish.

I wish I did... there must be at least two new WH in the NFL this year. (Hantak and someone else retired.)

What # is he? Is #66 a new guy as well? (I was reffin' all day and did not get a chance to see any NFL today.)

Is Ed H still around? I tried to look for his name on a few post-game recap summaries and didn't see it.

Yes, #66 is Walt Anderson, a first-year referee. He was a FJ last year. Ed Hochuli, #85, did the Oakland game today. Peter Morelli is #135.

I think he did a good job today. He's got progress to make with his reports and PA announcements. If I ever get into football I wanna be like Ed! LOL.
