In the North (Alaska)-
The school pays for our mode of transportation- Plane, Ferry, Dogsled if we go outside our own town. Most towns where I am located at you can not drive. So we get transportation, lodging and Per Diem. They normal pay a decent game fee to keep us coming back. AK ref SE
