After Malloy popped him, Westbrook immediately knew the consequences.

Politics? Too quick a trigger? Second guessing?

Malloy will be at a camp I'm attending in June, maybe he'll tell us what happened.

I'm really curious to know the reason behind rescinding. Seems to me that unless there was some pretty obvious evidence that the official was unaware of (A fan yelled BS behind the player, and the official incorrectly thought it was the player, or something like that), then changing this is extremely unsupportive of your officials judgment. And if they thought the referee acted out of line in giving it, then perhaps he should be reprimanded. Either way, it seems fishy without knowing the whole story.

NBA =entertainment. Maybe it should have been rescinded, I don't know. But I don't trust the NBA at all for these issues. He did touch the ref afterwards too. I've told this story before but I was watching a game, it was preseason and Gary Payton got two Techs. A first year ref gave him the second one. Payton played the star card, one of the older refs came in and the T vanished into thin air. Keep the stars on the floor and the crowds happy.

It got rescinded due to the fact there are two games left and they are tied for the last playoff spot.

Looked like a foul to me, but I don't know what was said to earn the T, or if he'd been warned earlier.
