The commentators tried to suggest that a T was not good in that situation and the official should have walked away. I disagree with that opinion and think coaches need to behave even when they think they are right. Peace |
#2 It appears to me that he was arguing something before the play even started. There was a brief point to something beyond the basket (foul count ;) ) and then continued the argument through the play and afterward.

Definitely a PC. Kicked call by the L.
The coach was talking to the T before hand, and stopped only for a second during that whole play. The T responded. The HC kept going again. The T may have been for ABS or a magic word/phrase. The play was going the other way and the red HC knew that the T was leaving to cover the last play - maybe he wanted a last word in. I can see someone complaining about the offensive contact as well as the footwork, but I don't think this coach was doing that. |
The second video doesn't show the whole coach/official interaction. The official was talking to the coach about a play on the other end previous to this possession, when Trail initially comes into the FC the coach is talking to him already.

1) That's a charge.
2) Kaminsky traveled as he began his drive into the lane. The Nebraska coach is known to be a "whiner" and I'm sure this was an "ABS" Technical called by the new Lead....in and of itself, it wouldn't be enough to warrant a T from me (unless of course "magic words" were used OR a previous warning had been issued). |
