I think this is the list I'm going to send. I tried to go with a combination of common misconceptions, things I have seen called incorrectly, and some "just cuz." If anybody sees any way this could be better, speak up.

1. A defender must be stationary to take a charge. False

2. It is not possible to commit a player control foul if the defender does not have legal guarding position. False

3. A1 throws a bad pass which goes into the backcourt. A2 chases it down and recovers the ball at the free throw line. Ruling: B's ball at the division line. False

4. A1 dribbles near the division line. B1 bats the ball which goes off the leg of A1 and into the backcourt, where it is recovered by A2. Ruling: Backcourt violation True

5. When resuming play with a throw-in, the rules pertaining to ten seconds in the backcourt, three seconds in the free throw lane, and backcourt violations do not apply until after an inbounds player secures control of the ball. True

6. An assistant coach is subject to the same conduct restrictions as team members in uniform on the bench. True

7. A1 is fouled by B1 as time expires in the first quarter. Before the free throws are shot, the head coach for B receives a technical foul. Ruling: A1 will shoot the one and one for the personal foul. Then any player from team A will shoot the technical foul. Team A will have a throw-in to start the second quarter which is not an AP throw-in. False

8. During a fast break, A1's pass is mishandled by A2. A2 bobbles the ball while taking several more steps. He then catches the ball and lays it up. Ruling: No violation, basket is good. True

9. When a player ends a dribble, if that player is starting a try, it changes the restrictions on his pivot foot. False

10. Jump ball to start the game. A1 takes a position near the sideline. Before the ball is tossed, A1 breaks toward the basket. Ruling: Violation False

It'd be easier than arguing with you, Woodrow.
