Somehing's wrong if the official scorer is the only one that has a certain number of fouls for a certain player.

Been there . . . over the weekend, middle school tournament, only one scorekeeper (for book and clock -- not as bad since running clock, but still....) . . . we had a player who had only played a few minutes foul out with 2 fouls  No idea how she possibly got him to 5 (he was numer 11, so I was wondering if some 1-1 FTs got confused) . . . and no real way to fix it . . . moral of the story, I suppose, is to send our own book to keep an eye on things, but we've never taken it that seriously . . .

I'm not sure how it works in college, but this is exactly why the scorers should sit close enough to each other where they can easily check their records every time a foul is called.

D1 (and most games at lower levels) games have a play-by-play that can be referred to.

I know for a fact that one of the gurus was on vacation at least through New Year's Day. And I'm pretty sure his classes will be starting up today.

Television broadcasters are supposed to advise the officials of all angles available. John Adams reminds the Men's officials about that at the beginning of every season.

I did not clip the first play...seemed more of a controversy that the official book and the other official books had something different. If someone really wants the play posted, I'll get to it (apparently over a month late )

First play...no call and T:

1) No foul, no goaltend, easy T

2) no hanging on the rim

1. No foul, no goaltending, good T

2. Nothing

#1: No foul. Absolutely no GT.

#2: No T at all. Not even close.

Peace
