I was all set to weigh in with a PC until the last replay which convinced me that it was a great block call.

you convinced me. that last one makes it look more like a block. Man, that's a tough one though depending on the angle.

There is zero forward movement at the point of contact. The defender is moving obliquely (back and to the side) and more back than anything. LGP established. Offense has nothing (not head and shoulders) beyond the defender. Contact practically square in the chest. PC. That first angle shows him coming forward, then moving back, then contact. I really don't see what you Block people are loocking at.

PC.

Not sure what is being seen that would make it a block.

Same here.

The ball handler does not go airborne. He remains in contact with court up to and through the time of contact with the opponent. Therefore, the defender is legally allowed to move in any direction except forward and be moving at the time of the contact. This is a PC foul.
Those stating block either must judge there was forward movement by the defender or are confusing the situation with guarding an airborne player.

I say PC, and not just because it's my friends son.
