This was a travel : the player gathered the ball with left foot on floor, jumped off of this foot and landed on 2 feet. At this point he is not allowed to pivot. and he pivoted which is a violation
This play happens all the time on catches on the perimeter but almost never seen it called in an NCAA game. Players in college are taught to catch ball off of jump stop which is usually followed by illegal pivot. Do they gain advantage. ?? |
