Kentucky/Wisconsin Block/PCs (2 plays)

I'm heading out the door so I started a new thread since I can't do all the requested plays at once.

Both PC fouls. These to me are not even close.

Peace

These are textbook PC. Defenders don't do anything wrong, except the defender on the second call could've justifiably been slapped with a T, IMO. Still, he was understandably upset after getting called for that foul.

+1

One defender doing nothing wrong standing still, the other doing nothing wrong moving backwards and then stopping. Both plays offensive player initiates contact.

The exact B/C plays that John Adams pointed out last year that too many officials were getting wrong.

second play was an obvious player control.

first play is a block if they were looking at the contact at the knees, because the defender has his leg outside of normal stance.

Contact on the first play, as seen in the overhead view, was as much with the defender's extended arm and knee as anything else. Could have gone either way.

Second one, PC.

I agree with P/C for both plays. My question on Play 2. Is the 'Continuation Motion' different for NCAA-M than Federation? Player finishes his dribble, gets fouled while he pivots and continues his motion to the basket and shoots. and puts the ball in the basket.
Is the 'No Shot', because he drops his hands before he shoots?

Yes, the rule in NCAA was reinterpreted mid-season to include an upward motion requirement.
