Failed Experiment ...
We tried no long switches on fouls in the backcourt where there was no change in team possession (A1 is dribbling in his backcourt, B1 tries to steal the ball, and strikes the arm of A1, no change in team possession, no long switch). The experiment lasted two years, and we went back to switching on all fouls, all the time. Why? Because a few guys couldn't figure out when to not switch under the guidelines. We had guys no long switching on player control fouls, and on rebounding fouls. Lazy? Stupid? Or both?
