WNBA - You got a "T" here? (video)

WNBA players receive double technicals for kissing | For The Win

Thoughts? T's for the shove and trash talk vice the smooch?

The referee blows the whistle on the initial contact (not the kiss). It certainly looked like it deserved something; T's or double foul.

That's a pretty freakin' odd sequence. I didn't really see anything Augustus did to deserve a foul...maybe some trash talk that the camera didn't catch? Taurasi throws a shoulder...squares up...and then plants a smooch. Augustus just stood her ground.

I honestly don't know what I would do in a case like that. What would happen in a men's or boys HS game if you witnessed a series like that? I'm betting a retaliatory swing by the receipient would probably follow the kiss.

I think it is safe to assume Augustus said something. The official had a good opportunity to see her her mouth moving (at least more than the kiss of course). I have no problem with what the official did.

Peace

The official throwing up the "X" in an NBA/WNBA game signals a double foul.
