Michigan-Louisville team control? (Hardaway/Siva 1st half...by request)

Now that my time in the YouTube penalty box has ended...Thoughts?

Tough Call, Tough Non Call ...

I'm having a tough time figuring out if the contact came before (player control), or after (team control), the pass was thrown. It's not a great angle on the video and I'm not even sure if the defender had, or maintained, legal guarding position. This is one of those plays where I hope that my partner has a better angle than me. In my fantasy world, it's one of those plays where I hope that I have two partners, both with better angles than me, but, of course, that would be make-believe, and never really happen here in Connecticut, the Land That Time Forgot.

Looks like a TC foul, but then again it is hard to see what contact the defender contributed that was not trying to take a charge. I am wondering if that is why they passed on the play. But I would have had no problem with a TC foul in this situation.

Peace

Dribbler moves left

Dribbler makes move to the left (top of key to left elbow). Siva falls down with some arm buffer on the contact. If the contact had been to the torso directly, gotta figure that Siva would have been sent flying. As it is, he falls at the spot.

Looks like the defender only took that position in order to take a charge. I can see why they passed on it.

What does that have to do with anything? Most, if not all, defenders who draw PCs/charges take their position on the court for the sole purpose of creating those fouls.

+1

I can live with a no-call on this one - but just barely. Crew must have felt the contact wasn't enough...or they just missed one.

You mean the defender took a position that blocked the offensive player's path to the basket and dared the offensive player to go through him or stop. Isn't that essense of "defense"?

This is some pretty good sarcasm there towards the crew . The pure essence of defense.

Now that I've had a chance to see the play on my laptop instead of my phone I have a TC foul. But I'm not surprised that the officials either missed it or passed on it.

The L is too far out of the slot to get this, and C follows the ball to the wing shooter. I have a TC foul, but with so many players surrounding the collision anyone could miss this. The video cuts off, but Pitino rightfully complains for a minute.
