Indiana vs Michigan

Did anyone see the end of the game where with about 1 minute left in the game Michigan had a easy layup and was fouled?

Watching it live (as a mich fan) I first thought it was an intentional. After watching replays of it, I could see it being called either way. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Hopefully someone can post a video of it for those of you that did not see it.

Intentional in that he meant to do it or are you trying to use NFHS verbiage of intentional? Because NCAA did away with that terminology...it's flagrant 1's and 2's. I'll have the play up hopefully in the next couple of days.

The swipe on the arm I thought was fine, but Watford had his hand on the back of the layer-upper.

Not sure if he extended it, as in a push, or not.

Thats what I was thinking too. I was at working watching on a small TV but I dont think he would of caught him to slap the arm if not for the off hand on the back.

Intentional as in the NFHS language. Flagrant 1 in NCAA

I saw it. I didn't think it was excessive. I thought the IU player made a legitimate play on the ball. The hand was on the back but he seemed to pull it off and didn't follow through with a push.

Please tell me how the hand in the back helped him catch him to slap the arm.

Agreed. I thought the correct call was made.

Common foul. An obvious attempt to play the ball. Full stop.

No players or coaches want that to be an intentional or Flagrant foul.

Hahah. Couldn't think of a good way to word it. Suppose I could have gone with rulebook-speak.
