FF2. Heat-T-Wolves

Ray Allen has the ball, clearly pushes Barea in the chest. Barea then fouls Allen hard and gets tossed. Don't know for sure when it happened. Didn't look like an FF2 to me.

I had no problem with the flagrant foul penalty two assessed there.

At least they had the balls to call it.

Berea is a flopper and has done so before. I think it was more of an act on the first play. I liked the FF2 call personally.

Peace

First part of the play is an easy no call...Barea embellishes the amount of contact on the play and is known to do so, and in fact has been fined for it as well. I have no issue with the FF2 on the play afterward.

Flop by Barea. Good FF2 call.

Love how the announcer thinks Allen flopped.

Great to see Malloy there. He certainly leaned in there quickly. He should be a FT CC. One of the best in years.

I've been told that Ed is in fact a full time CC, so that's good.

I had a big problem with it. He bumped Ray Allen with his chest. Allen wasn't airborne when it happened. It was a run-of-the-mill NBA FF1.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it gets downgraded.

I'm guessing the officials took into account the retaliatory nature of this play for what Barea perceived to be a push by Allen. I agree that the play by itself is a FF1.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess it'd be downgraded as well.

Allen clearly pushed Barea, and if it gets called correctly then the FF doesn't get called. However I am not surprised that the initial foul by Allen wasn't called. Those plays are rarely called in the NBA. I don't think it was a FF 2 at all.

That wasn't a foul on Allen at all...Barea embellished the amount of contact on the play (as he's known to do). That's not an NBA thing IMO as I wouldn't even call that in a game I worked.

In my opinion he did. As I said I didn't expect it to get called though. We will just have to agree to disagree. In my opinion Allen pushes Barea, who does emblish a bit, but the push still happened.

How this can be a FF2 and Ibaka's karate chop to the nuts is an FF1 is a little perplexing. Looks like a FF1 at most and could even be a hard common foul. Its the NBA right?

Easy...that crew could have just gotten the play wrong. Heck, the NBA could say this crew got this play wrong.

As to your last statement, I don't know what you mean by it.

To me, that is ridiculous to throw a guy out for a chest push. How is that a hard foul? I have never seen a chest push in a High School game called a hard foul.

Maybe if he was airborne and it was dirty...
That was not a dirty play. Physical yes, dirty no.
