I would not go that far. First of all black don't crack and hair coloring can do wonders. If Burr is older, they are very close for sure.

Peace

I believe the senior official is God, the inventor of the blarge. However, he may not be doing any tourney games due to the pending resignation of his assignor, although I am assured by his local board SJ that he is always available to do Georgetown, St. Joe's Philly, Marquette or Boston C and will even do a D.III at Scranton.

Hightower is 62.

Haven't been able to find Burr's age in a quick search. Maybe he's a basketball immortal, and was good friends with Naismith.

I know Bobby Donato was at least 70 before he retired.

A fellow official in my association worked with Burr in International tournaments years ago. He claims that Burr is at least 70. I wouldn't put money on this but he seems to be confident.

If I am reading this article correctly Jim Burr is ~66.

ECAC Official Jim Burr Featured in Watertown Daily Times - ECAC.org

"At 62 years old, Burr oversees a contingent of 35 to 40 ECAC officials. Pile that responsibility on top of his own college schedule and his mobile home business in his current residence of Latham, and it's astonishing Burr can handle the daily grind." from 2009.

Hillary has worked 26 D1 games this season according to StatSheet.

I've seen Burr a few times this season and, despite his age, still seems to keep up pretty well.

Hillary played at St. Joseph's in Indiana--graduated in '70 I believe, which would make him 64 or 65.

Mid 60's makes more sense. What he's lost in speed over the years is balanced by his experience.

So his experience will allow him to rule on contact in the corner when he's just crossing the division line?

As NCAA continues to work younger officials into the mix, this will come to be less of an either/or.
