This happens all the time here in my little corner of Connecticut, usually sometime in the second half, maybe because they're just kids and sometimes do crazy things, or maybe because the teams change their defense, from zone to man to man, or from half court defense to full court defense, or maybe because the players are getting a little tired, so the players start getting a little reckless. Veterans on my local board have a little unofficial secret signal that we use to communicate this to each other: stick out one's fist and rotate it clockwise, and counterclockwise, a few times, like you're ratcheting something to tighten it.
