Start Times: Your earliest/latest

I have an 8AM game this Saturday. Yuck, says this night owl. I've had one 8AM start before, but that's as early as I've gone. I think my latest start has been a mere 7:30 pm.

Your earliest/latest start times?

8 AM is normal first game for one of our Saturday Rec Leagues (I don't sign up for it).

I did a VG X-Mas Tournament Game which began at 10 PM on a Friday night this past yr. Can't recall having a later scheduled start time than that.

Earliest is 8:30am. I'm not a fan of those. Most tournaments have 9am weekend games.

Latest is 9pm.

I cycle between being a night owl (when I'm in coder mode) and an early bird, where I can read tonnes before the rest of the world wakes up.

When I'm in sync with start times, it's great. When I'm not, it sucks; imagine coding until 4am only to have a 9am double header. Ugh.

Earliest was 9:00 a.m. At a tournament...latest was the same day at the same tournament. Tipoff was supposed to be at 9:00 p.m., but the 5:00 game went to OT and the 7:00 game went to double OT. We tossed it up at 10:15.

If you showed up at 8:30pm for your 9:00pm game, you'd've known it was quite behind schedule and you could have gone home for another hour.

I wish.

Tournament was about 3 hours from home...We had to be on site 90 minutes prior to our game. Walked in at 7:30 and teams were still warming up for the 7:00 game. On top of having to be there at 7:30 a.m. For the first game.

My latest was a game that was scheduled to start at 21:30 but didn't start till 22:10. My earliest was 12:00 (noon), although we occassionally have games that start at 10:00.

In the off-season I always ask for the first 3 games on Saturday and/or Sunday morning for AAU. They usually start at 8:00am.

It's fairly standard for our local kids rec league to start 3rd grade games at 8:00am on Saturdays due to limited gym availability.

Many years ago I worked a boys HS rec weekend tournament and the final game started at 11:00pm on Sunday night. We didn't finish the game until after midnight. The sponsor then took my partner and me out to Denny's for a snack. I got home about 1:30am. Fortunately, (or unfortunately depending on your point of view) my wife was asleep.

Earliest start I've ever had is 8 AM. Latest start is 9:30 PM, including tonight!

Not totally unusual for an off-season, not school game. I do not think I have ever had a game earlier than 9:00 for a school game. Usually do not work early Saturday games so I could be wrong and not remember.

Peace

Our earliest/latest always coincide with State Tournament start times. 9:30 am (earliest) 9:10 pm (latest).
