8 AM is normal first game for one of our Saturday Rec Leagues (I don't sign up for it).
I did a VG X-Mas Tournament Game which began at 10 PM on a Friday night this past yr. Can't recall having a later scheduled start time than that.

Earliest is 8:30am. I'm not a fan of those. Most tournaments have 9am weekend games.
Latest is 9pm. I cycle between being a night owl (when I'm in coder mode) and an early bird, where I can read tonnes before the rest of the world wakes up. When I'm in sync with start times, it's great. When I'm not, it sucks; imagine coding until 4am only to have a 9am double header. Ugh.
