I remember a few mistakes I made (allowing the free throws for an injured player to be shot by one of his on court teammates). I remember going to the cadillac position.

It's been twenty years since I borrowed the shirt and worked my first ms games (I took quite a few of those twenty years off, though).

Ah memories. I haven't forgotten everything, after all.

No 3-point shots (disclosure -- my first season was the first year of the 3-point shot).

The Cadillac position.

The live-ball cross-over initiated by the trail to get back in Cadillac.

The trail administering all free throws.

The trail administering the FIRST free throw.

The lack of action rule.

The waist-high flick of the wrist count.

The fist straight up foul call followed by the bird dog.

And many others, I'm sure. I wonder what we do now that will be considered silly in 20 years. Wonder if I'll still be alive and officiating then.

We're, pretty much, all two man in all IAABO Connecticut.

IAABO is getting ready to add a similar option. When the trail moves across the basketline to get a real good look at a matchup there, the trail will be able to go all the way to the far sideline, if he wishes, to get a better look, which will dictate that the lead "rotates" across the lane, over to the other side. The young whippersnappers that have only been around for twenty years, or so, are concerned. Old timers like myself are thinking, "No problem. We used to do something similar back in the olden days".

IAABO guys. It's already in the IAABO mechanics manual. Check it out.
