Pre-game music
Ok, time for a little "off beat" fun.
I've been in locker rooms prior to games in which one of the crew plays his favorite tunes (at a reasonable volume, I might add) through an iPod/iPhone to keep the atmosphere fun and loose while B.S.ing while we get dressed. I loved it and might start putting together a pre game warmup mix together. Of course, the music ended when the R began pre-game. Anyone else do or been a part of something similar? Any song ideas for the mix? |

Before softball games I usually listen to some sort of metal, anything that is loud and fast, for about 20-30 minutes. Usually gets a beat in my head and it makes the long delay between plays fly by.
I have found that this doesn't work for me in basketball. My mind gets going too fast. I have gone to slow blues songs for the basketball games, Ten Long Years, Three o'Clock Blues, etc. Slows the game way down for me.

Once when the Yankee's Lou Pinella was batting he questioned a Palermo strike call. Pinella demanded, "Where was that pitch at?" Palermo told him that a man wearing Yankee pinstripes in front of 30,000 people should not end a sentence with a preposition. So Pinella, no dummy, said, "OK, where was that pitch at, a**hole?" -George Will |
