Ranking of Officials by your Association
If you're an officer of your assoication or you know how your process works, please respond.
In Illinois, officials assoication may submit a Top 15 list to the state. This is typically done by the membership voting who their Top 15 officials are. How does your association handle the following: 1) Do you require voters to rank 1-15 (or 1-x)? If they do not, do you count their ballot? 2) Do you verify the ballot is correct before accepting? Or is it the responsibility of the voter? 3) What type of ballot do you use? Do you provide a list of eligible people to be on it and have voters rank? Or do you provide blanks and have voters fill in each blank with names? 4) Do you have any additional rules voters must follow? If you do, what if they don't follow them? 5) Do you list your rules on the ballot and explain failure to follow will void the ballot? Thanks for your feedback. |
