Got these for this upcoming year.
UPDATE!
With the help of a Sharpie Opaque Paint Pen (oil-based), I made the Nike Air Max 2012s look sharp. You should burn them. They are part of the evil empire.

The Air Max is a superb shoe. A bit pricey but an all around excellent shoe to officiate in. I have all the versions dating back to 2009. I bought the version you have at the end of the season and have used them in summer leagues and at camp. Instead of a sharpie to black out the white swoosh and the white bottom border, I used an opaque point marker made by Elmers (yes the milk people). I bought it at a hobby shop in the art & paint supply department. It works 100% better than a sharpie. Completely and I mean completely covers the white with a nice dark fiinish. When I was done you could not tell where I started coloring and what was originally black. I highly recommend you try it instead of the sharpie. Let us all know if you decide to try it and how it worked out for you.

I like the shoes, just not the mesh part for officiating. I like suede or leather. I have the Air Max 2011s for everyday wear and I love them. Might turn them into base shoes for baseball eventually.
